IKTUS is located on the commune of Laroin, close to Pau, to C œ ur of Béarn, in the Pyrenees Atlantiques (64).
It is about a very ambitious initiated project there is more than ten years. The site extends on more than 100 hectares, for more than 70 hectares of water, with the doors of Pau. It is, inter alia, the most important center of sporting fishing to the fly of France.
It includes/understands a first reserve of fishing to the fly with trout of 15 hectares, closes, fishable edge, in the boat or float-tube, richly populated salmonidés, of an average from 3 to 4 books, and until more than 12 kg! It is open from September to June. Water, of excellent quality, is crystalline and allows fishing in nymph at sight; the depth varies from 1,5 m to approximately 10 m. A float tube and ten Quicksilver boats of 4,20 m out of aluminium moored with the port are available to the hiring, but the near total of the 1,6 km arranged banks are nevertheless fishable edge. The lake is very rich, with in particular of many herbaria in edge and around the island where abound fish forages, insects and batrachians.
 
A second lake is located slightly below the tank fly, of a surface of 35 hectares. Of a depth irregular and similar to the other water part, water is almost also clear there. This splendid lake, older and being 1,5 km long, is of a great piscicultural richness. The fishing of the carnivores is here with the honor, of the edge, out of float-tube, but especially in boat. The lake abounds indeed in pikes, poles, pike perches and more recently of silures and black low. It is the kingdom of alternative fishings to the fly: carnivores with the streamer and popper, but also carp in nymph at sight the lure is authorized from November to March. No kill is the absolute rule on this water level.
 
The lake very rich in being cyprinidés, fishing with the blow (large cane, English, quiver and swing tip) can also be authorized, on the very many rotengles, brèmes, tenches and other fish white. This fishing is authorized only edge at fixed telephone.  
In collaboration with the AAPPMA Gaulle Paloise, a third zone is opened with fishing on the site: a superb course fly/fake in No kill on nearly 2,5 km of Gave of Pau. Fishable freely with a simple federal chart, this course of 1° sometimes broad category of more than 100 m is rich in wild trouts fario. A test of introduction of shades commun run is in hand.
 
With a pedestrian access by the footbridge which spans the gave of Pau and announces the beginning of the course fly, or an access conveys by the zone of Lons/Lescar, the club house accomodates the fishermen every day all the year as of 9 a.m. the morning. It includes/understands a zone of reception where will be delivered to you information, councils and charts of fishing and a shop of articles of fishing to the fly vis-a-vis the two lakes. A great restaurant as well as a bar are at your disposal, and a room of seminar of 250 places supplements this modern building. 10 comfortable country cottages intended for the fishermen are opened, in an enclosed enclosure located in the forest, in the vicinity immediate of the club house, the tank trout and the course on Gave.
Lastly, of very many activities are proposed around the site (riding school, golfs 18 holes, tennis, squash, paintball, laserquest, billiards/bowling, karting, etc …), like several restaurants at topic and shopping malls for accompanying.
